This wedding was great! I got to shoot with my friend and mentor Van Johnson of ImageZero photography. The wedding was in downtown San Diego ‘Our Lady of the Rosary’ church and than went down to Shelter Point for the reception. The weather was a bit tricky since it kept changing from super sunny to overcast within minutes at a time but we still managed pretty well.

Taylor family celebrated their daughter’s year old and her grandpa’s birthday party in 1950’s theme. There were poodle skirts, leather jackets and sideburns! There were professional dancers and even Elvis showed up to entertain us. They even had magic shows and a airbrush tattoo artist. Everybody had to dress in 50’s clothing. I even had to get a black converse classic shoes (which I’ll never wear outside this party). Photographing Taylor’s party felt like as if I was just partying along with them. I love my job.

We spent the whole Sunday going from Fallbrook to UCSD to Lajolla. We went to the place they first met and to a place where Dan proposed to take these photos. It was a fun day and yet it was exhausting by the time the day was over. We are all flying to Costa Rica for their wedding! We’re so excited for this trip. I’m telling you. Being a wedding photographer has it’s perks. Enjoy. PS. There are more photos of Jennie and Dan in our main website under ‘engagement’.
