San Diego Firestorm!

October 24th, 2007 by myong

We are doing fine here in San Diego.  Luckily our place in Oceanside and hasn’t been touched by the fires and only experiencing ashy air and red sky.  Last night, Marine Base Camp Pendleton caught on fire.  We’re right below them so I will have the TV on all day to check the status.  Over 500,000 people have been evacuated and 200,000 acres burned.  There are over 6,000 firefighters fighting this fires including the national guard, army and the local volunteers.  San Diego rocks!  There were so many volunteers and donations, Qualcomm Stadium was turning down donations last night because they had so much!  Pizza Hut got turned down for donations as well!  That is so amazing to hear.

Rachel & Scott’s Engagment Session

October 18th, 2007 by myong

I got to shoot Rachel and Scott at Coronado. I’m very excited about their wedding next year. I have known Rachel since 1998 back in Guam when we were both lifeguards. We are good friends. Rachel was also an offiver in the Army. Scott is such an awesome guy. He is also a Navy Seal which to me is the baddest dudes in the world. Not only is he badass, he is also very funny and cool. Rachel found herself the perfect guy for her. They have the one of the best chemistry and that is refreshing to see and feel. I think their photos are one of my favorites that I’ve shot but then again I keep thinking that everytime I shoot:0)

Sarah & Aaron’s Wedding.

October 16th, 2007 by myong

I was honored to be hired by Carmella to photograph her neice’s wedding. Carmella is an extraordinary photographer herself and you can check out some of her work at www.spiraleyes.com. Sarah and Aaron’s wedding was small and sweet. Those types of weddings are my favorite. Straight to the point and very personal. Here are good amount of photos from the wedding.

October 16th, 2007 by myong

I am so excited that my photo had taken 1st place in wedding photography contest. This years theme was ‘creative’ and I submited 3 images. 2 of them made it to top 100 and 1 of them took first place. I took $1000 in cash and some coffee table books which I’ll turn around and give it to my brides (the coffee table, not the grand:) . Thank you all for the support. Click Here to go the website that posted the photo on the contest. Here is the image.
